The light-emitting diodes, common heard as LEDs, are known for their use in various types of electronic equipment. In recent years, however, are increasingly used to create amps home and industrial lighting.
It is a rapidly growing technology. There performance in various lighting applications is much higher than traditional incandescent intensive applications. In compared with the equally modern technology of the compact fluorescent lamps, LEDs offer greater or equal efficiency, but with a significantly longer life. The LED lamps, although relatively new products, have already proven that they can effectively replace both the transparent and the translucent light bulbs, through all the range of applications.
The LED lamps consume up to 80% less energy, than incandescent bulbs. They are fully ecological, since they do not use any mercury, qualification that makes them environmentally friendly.
